Foster Training
This training course prepares new kitten and cat fosters to confidently provide day-of-intake care, parasite prevention, illness monitoring, feeding support, hygiene protocols, and adoption readiness in a multi-cat rescue environment.
Our curriculum teaches:
How to track observations using a cohort med log. And individual log.
LITTER BOX HYGIENE and why it is SO important.
Observe and capture baseline health data
Provide routine deworming and anti-protozoal support at intake
Protect the gut by keeping diet consistent through stool changes
Track daily weights to monitor healthy growth vs early decline
Recognize urgent and emergency symptoms
Communicate clearly with foster medical support teams
By completing this course, fosters become part of a supported, data-driven care network committed to health-first fostering and adoption success.
